The role

We currently have an opportunity for a laboratory technician to join our technical team on a permanent full-time basis. Working in the laboratory at Chipping Norton, this position will see you gain exposure to the compliance testing of soils and aggregates, concrete and other construction materials.
n
Your primary duties will include a broad range of soils and aggregate testing, assisting in trial mixing, sample preparation, equipment calibration and computer-based analysis.

Responsibilities
n
n
Laboratory testing of concrete, aggregates, and associated construction materials.- training will be provided.
n
Reporting of accurate results.
n
Adhere to procedures and work systems.
n
Perform equipment calibration and basic maintenance as required.
n
Ensure compliance with relevant safety, health, and environmental requirements.
n
Assist the NSW technical and laboratory team with ISO/IEC ***** NATA accreditation.
n

What you will need to succeed
n
n
Entry level candidates are encouraged to apply, all training will be provided.

Experience in construction materials testing – concrete, soils and aggregates are preferred but not essential.
n
A commitment to safety, quality, and the setting
n
Good interpersonal and communication skills
n
Able to follow instructions from supervisor and from testing Standards.
n
Ability to self-motivate and take initiative and work in high pace work culture.
n
Able to work alone and/or as a team member.
n
Australian driver's license
n
Construction Industry White Cardbeing an advantage, but not essential.
n
Certificate III in Laboratory Skills or Cert IV in Laboratory Techniques being an advantage, but not essential.
n
Knowledge of Microsoft Office being an advantage.
