Financial Accountant

Sydney | Up to $500pd | 3-Month Contract

We are partnering with a global leading healthcare technology provider delivering innovative software solutions to hospitals across Australia and the world.

An opportunity has arisen for a CA/CPA-qualified Financial Accountant to join a well-established organisation on an initial 3-month contract. You will assist with month-end reporting and provide critical support during a busy reporting and audit period.
n
This role is ideally suited to a technically strong accountant with a solid audit or financial accounting background who can quickly get up to speed, work autonomously and deliver high-quality outcomes in a quick-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
n

Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
n
Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation, responding to queries from external auditors.
n




Review balance sheet accounts and ensure reconciliations and accounting treatments are accurate and compliant.
n
Assist with financial reporting requirements and ad hoc accounting matters during peak reporting periods.
n
Partner with senior finance leaders and stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate financial information.
n
Identify, investigate and resolve accounting issues with a practical and detail-oriented approach.

About You
n
n
CA or CPA qualified.
n
Approximately 3-5 years' experience in audit, financial accounting or a combination of both.
n
Strong understanding of month-end reporting, financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
n
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work within tight deadlines.
n
Capable of working independently and managing competing priorities.
n
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
Available to commence immediately or at short notice and commit to an initial 3-month contract.
