Retaining wall installer/Project manager

This is a full-time, hands-on position combining retaining-wall installation, site supervision and project management. You will work closely with the Managing Director and be responsible for helping projects run safely, efficiently and to a high standard from commencement through to completion.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Installing concrete sleeper, steel-post and timber retaining walls
n
Leading and working alongside the installation crew
n
Reading plans, engineering drawings and job specifications
n
Setting out retaining walls and confirming levels and measurements
n
Coordinating daily site activities, labour, machinery and materials
n
Communicating professionally with clients, builders, engineers and suppliers
n
Monitoring workmanship, productivity and project progress
n
Identifying site issues and helping find practical solutions
n
Ensuring work complies with engineering requirements and company standards
n
Maintaining safe, organised and tidy worksites
n

About you
n
n
Proven experience installing concrete sleeper and/or timber retaining walls
n
Experience leading workers or managing construction projects
n
The ability to read plans,
engineering details and site levels
n
Robust knowledge of excavation, drainage and retaining-wall construction
n
Good organisational and problem-solving skills
n
Clear and professional communication
n
A strong focus on quality, safety and attention to detail
n
The ability to work independently and take responsibility for a project
n
A current construction White Card
n
