Job Description
Salary: $145,000 + Super

About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Project Engineer to play a key role in delivering a significant capital investment program within a highly automated manufacturing environment.
n
The role will oversee multiple engineering projects focused on improving manufacturing capability, plant reliability, operational efficiency and long-term site performance.
n
Working closely with Production, Maintenance, Operations and external contractors, you will manage projects from initial concept and design through to procurement, installation, commissioning and final handover.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead mechanical capital projects from concept, design and procurement through to installation, commissioning and handover.
n
Manage multiple CapEx projects with a combined value of approximately $20 million.
n
Prepare project scopes, technical specifications, budgets, schedules and business cases.
n
Design and specify mechanical equipment and plant modifications using CAD software where required.
n
Coordinate equipment procurement, contractor selection and installation activities.
n
Work closely with Maintenance and Production teams to minimise operational disruption and downtime during project execution.
n
Provide mechanical engineering support across manufacturing operations.
n
Support plant upgrades involving conveyors, pumps, piping systems, pressure vessels, utilities and process equipment.

About You
n
n
Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with proven experience delivering capital projects within FMCG, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical or process manufacturing.
n
Experience managing significant multi-million-dollar CapEx projects, ideally with individual or combined project values of up to $20 million.
n
Robust mechanical engineering background with experience across plant equipment, utilities and manufacturing systems.
n
Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
n
Strong project management, budgeting, procurement and contractor management skills.
