Our national environmental team is growing, and we're looking for a Principal Environmental Scientist to join our Adelaide office. This is an opportunity to step into a senior leadership role where your technical expertise, client insight, and mentoring ability will make a real impact.

About the Role
n
In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering contaminated land projects – providing project guidance, supporting clients, and mentoring our junior consultants. The position can be tailored to your strengths, whether you're a well-rounded generalist or bring specialist expertise in areas such as remediation, hydrogeology, risk assessment, or auditing.

Key responsibilities include
n

Leading and directing complex contaminated land projects
n
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
n
Providing technical leadership, input, and report reviews
n
Mentoring and developing junior and mid-level staff
n
Supporting national project delivery and collaboration
n
Driving business development and proposal development
n
n
About You
n
You're an experienced consultant who combines strong technical capability with leadership and commercial awareness. You enjoy working with clients, solving problems, and helping teams succeed.

You will bring:
n
n
A tertiary degree in Environmental Science, Engineering,



Environmental Management or related qualification
n
15+ years' experience in contaminated land or a related field
n
Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients and other key stakeholders to ensure thorough environmental advice and successful project delivery
n
Experience in a similar position
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Strong team player
n
Experience in training and mentoring staff
n
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
