Your mission
n
As a Direct Entry First Officer, you will operate modern, multi‐crew aircraft across a varied network, delivering safe, efficient and on‐time operations. You will support the Captain, uphold SOPs and contribute to an exceptional passenger and crew experience.

Execute all phases of flight in accordance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
n
Conduct thorough pre‐flight preparation, performance calculations and briefings.
n
Manage navigation, communication and aircraft systems with sound situational awareness.
n
Champion safety, CRM and Just Culture—actively participate in reporting and continuous improvement.
n
Maintain recency, technical knowledge and professionalism through ongoing training.
n

Minimum qualifications

Total time: 500 hours
n
Licence: CASA Frozen ATPL
n
Ratings: Multi‐Engine Instrument Rating (MEA IR) with endorsements for Instrument Approach 2D and 3D on an Australian Instrument Rating – Multi Engine Aeroplane
n
Medical: Class 1
n
English: ICAO ELP Level 6
n
Accepted licences: CASA




n
Type rating: Not required (training provided)
n

Preferred: We value recency — preference may be given to pilots who have flown at least 50 hours in the previous 12 months.

The ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test

The ability to pass a Qantas pre‐employment medical

The ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
n
A current passport with unrestricted access to all Qantas ports of call
