Job Description

Waverley Council is seeking a proactive and community focused Public Place Officer to help deliver out Strategic Asset Management Plan and enhance the liveability of our Local Government Area(LGA)

Permanent full-time position (35 hours per week)

In this role you will:
n
n
Play a key role in monitoring service delivery, improving performance, and increasing accountability across the LGA
n
Coordinate customer requests for asset maintenance and restoration
n
Monitor operational team performance against service level schedules to ensure accountability
n
Conduct daily proactive inspections of public assets across the ward
n
Act as a key point of contact for Councillor service requests and operational matters
n
Audit, identify, and prioritise risk-based actions in public spaces
n
Follow up on reactive requests in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
n
Manage asset restoration projects to meet operational requirements
n
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to align interests and deliver outcome
n
n
About you
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
n
Demonstrated ability in monitoring service level agreements.
n




Sound level communication skills with the ability to effectively respond, engage, liaise with community and business representatives, Councilors and Government Authorities.
n
Demonstrated working knowledge of the Roads Act, Council's powers and duties as a Roads Authority and public utility legislations and procedures.
n
Demonstrated understanding of civil infrastructure technical specifications, condition assessments, and maintenance management principles.
n
Demonstrated problem solving skills for managing risk, prioritising solutions and programming works. A positive, skilled and co-operative approach to working with others.
n
Current Class C Driver's Licence.
n
n
