Dental Assistant – Full Time / 4-Day Option

The Position
n
This is primarily a full-time position, working approximately 4–5 days per week, including some Saturdays.
n
Our usual operating hours are:
n
Locations: Pennant Hills and Castle Hill
n
We are also open to a permanent 4-day working week. If we find two suitable candidates whose availability complements each other, we are happy to structure the roster accordingly.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Preparing surgeries and maintaining infection-control standards
n
Sterilisation and instrument processing
n
Supporting dentists during a range of general and advanced dental procedures
n
Welcoming and communicating with patients
n
Reception and appointment management
n
Answering telephone enquiries
n
Patient coordination and follow-up
n
Supporting the wider team with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
n
General cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, organised and professional clinical and practice environment throughout the day
n

Who We're Looking For

Wants to develop a career in dental assisting
n
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Is friendly, confident and outgoing
n
Enjoys interacting with patients and making them feel comfortable
n
Is organised, reliable and punctual
n
Can work well independently and as part of a team
n
Is willing to learn both dental assisting and reception
n
Takes initiative rather than always waiting to be asked
n




Is comfortable learning new systems and technology
n
Can work across both Pennant Hills and Castle Hill locations
n
Has a driver's licence and reliable access to a car
n
Previous dental assisting experience and/or Certificate III in Dental Assisting would be highly regarded; however, we are also interested in candidates with the right attitude, communication skills and genuine desire to build a career in dentistry
