Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join an established and growing construction business delivering high-quality Class 2 residential projects across Sydney.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator who has a strong understanding of the Australian construction market and a proven background estimating Class 2 residential projects from tender through to award.
n
The Role
n
Working closely with the Pre-Construction, Commercial and Project teams, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates across a range of Class 2 residential projects.
n
Key responsibilities will include:
n
n
Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for Class 2 residential projects.
n
Reviewing architectural drawings, engineering documentation, specifications and scopes of work.
n
Preparing tender submissions, take-offs, pricing and bills of quantities.
n
Obtaining and assessing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
n
Comparing quotations and ensuring costs are accurately captured.
n
Identifying project risks, exclusions, variations and potential cost savings.
n
Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal project teams.
n
Assisting with tender negotiations and presentations through to project award.
n




Maintaining accurate estimating records and contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes.

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Minimum 5 years' estimating experience within the Australian construction industry.
n
Strong knowledge of Australian construction methods, materials, subcontractors and current market pricing.
n
Experience across new build, multi-residential or apartment projects.
n
Strong ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
n
Excellent attention to detail and strong commercial awareness.
n
The ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
n
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
n
Relevant qualifications in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Building or a related discipline are highly regarded.
