What you'll be doing
Provide a high quality Social Work service to consumers, carers and families to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes consistent with NSLHD policies, procedures, standards, relevant legislation, and NSW Health Code of Conduct.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics.
Demonstrated understanding of issues associated with ageing, age related illnesses, rehabilitation, accommodation placements, guardianship and end of life care.
Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, counselling, crisis management, case management, advocacy, intervention, appropriate referral.
This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases. The full list of requirements are outlined in theNSW Health OASV Policy(Page 11).You will be required to complete theOASV Undertaking/ Declaration FormandTB Assessment Toolduringthe recruitment process.
