About the role
n
As an Associate Production Engineer (DFM), you will gain hands on experience across multiple facets of our manufacturing and assembly process. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully to a thriving business.

As part of this role you will develop skills in

Accurate production assembly of a wide range of products
n
Production testing, quality control and final inspection
n
Documentation, traceability and reporting

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Learn, take direction, ask questions and build technical capability over time
n
Complex electronic assembly,
inspection, testing and production support
n
Performing hand soldering to IPC-A-610 Class 3 soldering of both Through-hole (THT) and Surface-Mount (SMT) technology electronic components
n
AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) machine operation, X-Ray Operation, Conformal Coating Operation and Machine Maintenance
n
Quality: Maintaining accurate production documentation, records, traceability & evidence of completed work
n
Supporting quality, safety and compliance requirements in all production activities
n
Training and develop design-for-manufacture understanding under guidance
n
Assisting with build documentation, technical drawings, work instructions and process improvement activities
n
n
Skills and Experience
n
n
Relevant degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
n
Interest in developing design knowledge, particularly design for manufacture, build documentation and practical production improvement.
n
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety and compliance.
n
Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
n
Good communication & teamwork skills, with the ability to work across production, quality & engineering functions.
n
Strong problem-solving skills in immediate production situations and longer-term improvement activities.
n
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
n
Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, solutions-focused approach.
n
Knowledge of industry standards (AS****S or ISO****) an advantage
