Job/Responsibilities
n
Council is currently looking for a reliable, self-motivated person who can work after hours and on weekends, to join the team as a Casual Aerodrome Reporting Officer.
n
As an Aerodrome Reporting Officer,



you will be responsible for undertaking critical inspections and ensuring operational and area compliance and safety at the Orange Aerodrome, including:
n
n
Undertaking pre-flight and other necessary inspections at the Aerodrome and Runway on weekends and when on call; record daily inspections
n
Ensuring compliance by other Aerodrome users and members of the public and issuing Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) where required
n
Enforcing vehicle rules at the Aerodrome
n
Ensuring all security devices and systems are operational, including operational lighting
n
Attending to Aerodrome emergencies and safety issues as required
n

Hourly Rate: From $***** (excludes Superannuation and relevant penalty rates)

What we're looking for
n
n
Reliable and able to work weekends and after hours
n
Mature, able to work unsupervised
n
Able to make critical decisions and remain calm in emergencies
n
A problem solver with excellent communication skills
n
Able to complete relevant Aerodrome training and courses
n
n
You'll also need to have
n
n
A current NSW Class C Driver's Licence
n
A current Aerodrome Security Identification Card (ASIC) or ability to obtain prior to commencement
n
General Construction Induction Card (White Card) or ability to obtain prior to commencement
n
Current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) or ability to obtain prior to commencement
n
n
Additional information
n
This is a casual position with no set rostered hours or days. The successful applicants will be required to work weekends and be available for call out 7 days per week from 6pm to 6am. Penalty rates apply.
