Job Description
Social Worker Advanced - Domestic and Family Violence Specialist

Lead domestic and family violence initiatives that strengthen workforce capability, drive system wide change and support safer communities.

About the role
n
The Social Work Advanced – Domestic and Family Violence (D&FV;) Specialist provides expert clinical leadership and specialist practice across Redcliffe Hospital and Community and Oral Health services. The role plays a key part in strengthening Metro North Health's response to domestic and family violence and sexual violence through the delivery of specialist consultation, workforce education, service development and reform initiatives.

The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of contemporary domestic and family violence education and training programs, support complex clinical decision-making across multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to organisation-wide capability building. The role offers an opportunity to drive meaningful system-wide change, promote trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice, and improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities affected by domestic and family violence.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Provide advanced social work clinical services, consultation and expert advice for patients experiencing or at risk of domestic and family violence and sexual violence.
n
Lead workforce capability development through the design,
delivery and evaluation of domestic and family violence education, training and professional development initiatives.
n
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, service leaders, community agencies and government stakeholders to support best-practice responses and reform initiatives.
n
Provide specialist leadership in the development of clinical practices, policies, procedures, research and service improvement activities related to domestic and family violence.
n
Lead quality improvement, community engagement, reporting and change management initiatives that enhance service delivery and support positive outcomes for victim-survivors and their families.
