Job Description
Reporting to the Cafe Manager, you'll own everything coffee: quality in the cup, consistency across every shift, the machine, the grinders, the stock and the team behind the bar. This is a busy, high-volume site in the heart of Sydney Outlet Village, with peak service on weekends.

Key responsibilities
n
Set and hold the standard on every coffee that leaves the bar
n
Lead from the machine during peak service — calm, rapid and accurate
n
Manage stock control and ordering (coffee, milk, dairy alternatives, syrups, takeaway supplies) and keep wastage down
n
Dial in grinders, run daily calibration and manage machine cleaning and maintenance schedules
n
Train, roster support and mentor junior baristas and floor staff
n
Take responsibility for opens, closes, cash handling and end-of-shift reporting
n
Uphold food safety, WHS and cleanliness standards at all times
n




Deliver genuinely warm customer service and build regulars in a centre full of repeat foot traffic
n
About you
n
Minimum 2 years' experience as a barista in a high-volume venue, including time in a senior or lead role
n
Confident on a multi-group machine with strong milk technique and consistent extraction
n
Keeping calm under pressure — you keep the bar moving and the team steady when it's flat out
n
Highly organised, with proven stock control, ordering and wastage management experience
n
A natural leader who trains by example rather than by instruction
n
Excellent communication and customer service skills
n
Strong work ethic, reliable, punctual and takes ownership without being asked
n
Current Food Safety / food handling certification (or willing to obtain)
n
Available for weekend work — this is essential, not negotiable
