Job Description
Clinical Facilitator (Practice Development Womens Health)
n
Provide integrated women's health services within Gynaecology while supporting and supervising staff in their learning and development activities as part of the education team.
n
The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Facilitator (Practice Development Womens Health) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our ******-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will
n
n
Provide clinical leadership, guidance and direction in the delivery of woman-focused, high-quality patient care.
n
Act as a clinical and educational resource within gynaecological nursing, based on knowledge, skills and experience.
n
Support Registered Nurses, Newly Qualified Nurses (NQNs), students and other healthcare workers in developing key skills through patient-centred teaching, in-service education and educational resources.
n
Promote a culture of learning through reflection, professional development, mentoring, role modelling and collaborative teamwork.

About you
n
To be successful in this position you will require:
n
n
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
n
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
n
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
n
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
n
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
n
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us

The Gynaecology Services sits within Women's, Newborn and Children's Services at Gold Coast University Hospital, delivering an integrated portfolio of women's health services across high-volume outpatient, elective and acute surgical pathways.
n
The service line encompasses B3N Gynecology Inpatients, General Gynecology, Acute Gynecology Unit (AGU) Endometriosis & Pelvic Pain, Early Pregnancy Assessment and Management Service (EPAMS), Gynecology Oncology, Urogynecology, Pelvic Mesh, Colposcopy, Post-Operative Discharge and Support Services (PODSS), and Breast Screen.
n
We operate in a tertiary, multidisciplinary environment with strong linkages to perioperative, oncology and ambulatory care, underpinned by evidence-based practice, safety and quality systems, and digital-health enablement. The Practice Development Nurse works within an education team, supporting and supervising staff in their learning and development activities.
