Job Description
Yulong Investments is a leading Thoroughbred Stud located in the beautiful Goulburn Valley region, just outside of Nagambie, Victoria. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Full-Time Accountant to join our team. In this full-time role, you will play a key part in supporting our finance team with day-to-day operations and high-quality financial administration.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
n
n
Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.
n
Prepare account reconciliations, including bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany balances.
n
Assist with preparation of management reports and financial analysis.
n
Maintain accurate general ledger records and process journal entries.
n
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
n
Supporting taxation requirements including GST, FBT, BAS/IAS and other statutory compliance requirements, as well as audit and tax information requests.
n
Maintain fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and assist with inventory reconciliations and stocktake processes.
n
Review capital expenditure transactions and ensure appropriate accounting treatment.
n
Assist with payroll accounting, including payroll reconciliations, leave provisions, superannuation, payroll tax, and other employee-related financial records.
n
Work closely with the Finance Manager and wider finance team on financial analysis, reporting and ad hoc projects.

Take ownership of assigned accounting areas, including reconciliations, reporting schedules, and investigation of accounting discrepancies.

What we're looking for:

Degree qualification in Accounting or Commerce
n
Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office Suite.
n
Self-motivated with strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
n
Strong data entry and analytical skills with a methodical approach.
n
Ability to grasp new concepts, tools, and systems efficiently.
n
Effectivecommunication skills – both written and verbal.
n
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
n
Experience in a similar accounting role.
n
Must have full working rights in Australia.
