Veteran Healthcare | DVA | Medicinal Cannabis

We are seeking an experienced DVA Claims & Patient Services Specialist to support veterans through DVA-funded medicinal cannabis pathways.
n
This role requires direct experience working with both DVA and medicinal cannabis, with a strong understanding of DVA processes and the end-to-end veteran patient journey.
n
You will work closely with patients, clinicians, specialists and internal teams to coordinate DVA applications, documentation and patient progress.
n
About the Role
n
You will be a key point of contact for veteran patients and clinicians, taking ownership of patients progressing through the DVA pathway and ensuring applications, documentation and follow-ups are managed accurately and efficiently.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Support veterans through the end-to-end DVA medicinal cannabis patient journey, from onboarding through to applications, approvals and ongoing care.
n
Prepare and coordinate DVA applications, claims and supporting documentation.
n
Liaise with patients, GPs, specialists and clinicians to obtain required information and documentation.
n
Monitor application progress and proactively follow up outstanding requirements.
n




Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
n
Contribute to improvements in DVA workflows and patient processes.

About You
n
You are highly organised, confident managing multiple patient cases and experienced in supporting veterans through DVA-funded medicinal cannabis pathways.
n
n
Previous experience working with DVA patients within the medicinal cannabis sector.
n
Strong knowledge of DVA applications, approvals, claims and documentation requirements.
n
Experience supporting the end-to-end veteran patient journey.
n
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
n
Confidence communicating with patients, clinicians and external healthcare providers.
n
A proactive, professional and empathetic approach.
