Job Description
Western Sydney Civil Contractor seeking an experienced Crew Leader to lead a civil construction crew and help deliver works safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can coordinate daily site activities, manage workers and subcontractors, and keep allocated works moving in line with the project program.

The role
n

Leading and coordinating a crew of approximately 6-15 workers and subcontractors
n
Planning and sequencing allocated works
n
Coordinating labour, plant and materials
n
Monitoring productivity, workmanship and resource use
n
Reading and interpreting construction drawings
n
Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements
n
Conducting pre-starts, toolbox talks and site inductions
n
Completing site diaries, permits, photos and other required documentation
n
Communicating progress, resource requirements and potential delays to site management
n
Mentoring crew members and maintaining strong standards of conduct and performance
n

About you
n

Experience leading crews within civil construction
n
Strong practical knowledge of civil works and construction methods
n
The ability to plan work, coordinate resources and keep crews productive
n
Confidence reading construction drawings and specifications
n
A strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
n
Valuable communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
n
A current driver's licence and White Card
n
Relevant plant tickets or civil construction qualifications will be highly regarded
n
