Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to join our People & Culture team in a full-time position, supporting employees and managers across a growing, multi-site organisation.
n
This is a hands‐on HR role suited to someone who has experience across the employee lifecycle and is confident providing practical HR support on a range of employee and workplace matters.
n
About the Role
n
As HR Coordinator, you will work closely with managers, employees and the wider People & Culture team across a broad range of HR activities, including:
n
n
Providing day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees
n
Supporting employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, attendance and workplace issues
n
Assisting managers with probation and performance review processes
n
Providing support and guidance on Fair Work matters, employment conditions and relevant Contemporary Awards
n
Interpreting and applying the National Employment Standards and relevant employment legislation
n
Supporting workers compensation and return-to-work matters
n
Assisting with injury management and maintaining communication with employees, managers, insurers and other relevant stakeholders
n
Supporting workplace investigations and employee relations processes
n
Coordinating employee onboarding and offboarding
n
Preparing employment contracts, letters, variations and other HR documentation
n
Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
n
Coordinating pre-employment checks and compliance requirements
n
Monitoring employee qualifications, accreditation, training and other required documentation
n
Processing employee changes including transfers, promotions and changes to employment conditions
n
Supporting Payroll with employee information and changes
n
Maintaining accurate employee information in HR systems, including Tanda
n
Assisting with Learning & Development and training administration
n
Preparing HR reports and supporting HR projects,
audits and compliance activities
n
Following up outstanding HR actions and documentation
n
Providing general HR support to the wider People & Culture team
n
n
About You
n
We are looking for someone who has previous experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, HR Advisor, HR Generalist or similar role and is comfortable working across a broad range of HR responsibilities.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Experience in early childhood education and care will be highly regarded, particularly candidates who understand the workforce, compliance and regulatory requirements of operating across multiple services.
n
Experience dealing with Fair Work and employment legislation
n
Working knowledge of the National Employment Standards and Modern Awards
n
Experience supporting workers compensation and return-to-work matters
n
Experience with employee relations, performance management, conduct and attendance matters
n
Strong HR administration and organisational skills
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
n
Confidence communicating with employees and managers at all levels
n
An understanding of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information
n
Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems
n
The ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
n
A proactive approach and the ability to follow matters through to completion
n
A practical, people‐focused approach
n
The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
n
