About the RoleThe Specialist Inspector, Plumbing - Performance Solutions assesses and audits plumbing performance solutions, particularly roof plumbing, to ensure compliance with legislation, codes, and Australian Standards.
The role involves reviewing submissions, conducting audits and inspections, identifying non-compliance issues, liaising with technical experts, and enforcing compliance requirements.
It also includes reporting audit outcomes and inspection findings to management and senior leaders.What we are looking forConduct audits and inspections of complex plumbing work and performance solutions to ensure compliance with Victorian legislation, regulations, codes, local laws, and Australian Standards.Assess non-compliances, provide expert technical advice, and work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve appropriate regulatory outcomes.Exercise regulatory powers, prepare enforcement reports, and recommend compliance actions based on risk assessments and consumer impacts.Support investigations, legal proceedings, multidisciplinary inspections, and industry-wide regulatory initiatives to address complex plumbing matters.Maintain accurate records and reporting, share technical expertise, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement, emergency response, and compliance programs.For more information please visit the position description at Careers.vic.gov.auFor more information on the Security of Payment legislation please visit the BPC's website at Security of Payment.About the BPCThe Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC)
