If you have experience supporting clients with high physical needs and want to provide consistent, person-centred care, we would love to hear from you.About the RoleYou will provide one-on-one support, ensuring safety, dignity, and structure for a participant who relies on you for mobility and daily care.
This role requires patience, solid communication skills, and confidence working with bed-bound individuals.Key responsibilities include:Manual Handling & Transfers: Safely assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobilisation using 4 wheel walkers, and other equipment.Personal Care: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence management.Meal Preparation: Support with preparing meals that meet dietary and medical needs.Documentation: Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports, and observations of any changes in condition or behaviour.Emergency Response:



Respond appropriately to medical or behavioural emergencies, ensuring safety at all times.Housekeeping: Perform light household duties to maintain a clean, safe environment.About YouYou are kind, respectful, and an excellent communicator.
You genuinely care about the people you support and can build meaningful connections, including with non-verbal clients.You are confident in providing personal care and performing manual handling tasks safely and effectively.Key Selection Criteria:Minimum 1+ years' experience in disability support or a similar fieldExperience supporting participants with mobility needs.Experience with manual handling (4 wheel walkers, transfers)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and adapt to individual needsUnderstanding of person-centred care and safeguarding principlesBasic computer skills for documentation and reportingDemonstrated integrity, reliability, and problem-solving abilityKey Responsibilities (Summary)Build positive relationships with participants, families, and support networksDeliver care in line with individual care plansMaintain accurate progress notes and incident reportsFollow workplace health and safety and safeguarding practicesWork collaboratively with colleagues and external professionalsRequirementsCurrent First Aid & CPR certificateNDIS Worker Screening CheckWorking with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)Proof of right to work in Australia
