This is an opportunity to join an established mid-tier commercial landscaping company delivering a diverse range of projects across South East Queensland.
Working closely with the Managing Directors, you'll take a key role across estimating, tendering and project delivery, with approximately 80% of your time focused on estimating and pre-construction and 20% on project management and delivery.
For an experienced commercial landscaper, supervisor or leading hand looking to step away from being permanently on the tools, this could also be an opportunity to use your practical knowledge in a more commercially focused, predominantly office-based role.The RoleYou'll be involved from the initial assessment of a tender opportunity through to pricing, submission, handover and ongoing commercial management.
Your responsibilities will include:Reviewing incoming tender opportunities and assessing suitabilityManaging the tender process from initial assessment through to submissionCompleting accurate take-offs and measurements from plansPreparing detailed estimates and tenders for review and approvalReviewing plans, specifications and tender documentationLiaising with builders, clients, consultants,



suppliers and subcontractorsPreparing project budgets and site tracking documentationObtaining supplier and subcontractor pricingProcuring key materials and subcontracted worksPreparing and managing project variationsAssisting with monthly progress claimsSupporting the handover of successful tenders to site supervisorsMonitoring project costs against tendered allowancesBuilding relationships with existing and prospective clients, suppliers and subcontractorsWhat's On Offer?

More important than having followed one particular career path is having a strong understanding of how commercial landscape projects are priced and delivered.
You'll ideally bring:Robust commercial landscaping knowledgeEstimating and/or project management experience highly regardedThe ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and tender documentationAn understanding of labour, materials, subcontractors and project costsStrong numerical skills and attention to detailConfident communication and negotiation skillsThe ability to build relationships with builders, clients, suppliers and subcontractorsGood organisation and the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlinesCompetence with Microsoft Office and relevant estimating/project softwareLandscape, horticulture or construction-related qualifications advantageous, but not essentialKnow commercial landscaping and ready for your next move?
