As an Instrument Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring the safe, effective and efficient reprocessing of reusable medical devices (RMDs) in accordance with Sterile Processing Centre policies and relevant State and National Standards.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will rotate across all areas of the Sterile Processing Centre, including supporting the Endoscopy Suite.Your responsibilities will include:Decontamination and high-level disinfection of reusable medical devicesReprocessing of endoscopy equipmentChecking reusable medical devices and assembling instrument traysPackaging and preparation of sterile barrier systemsSterilisation and sterile storageChecking, testing and maintaining equipment and resourcesMaintaining accurate documentation in line with operational requirementsIdentifying, troubleshooting and reporting equipment or process variancesThe Sterile Processing Centre operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and successful applicants will be required to participate in a roster covering a range of shifts.Classification: Instrument Technician IN1-IN4 ($57,******-$73,****** per annum,



pro rata for part time).
Casual workers will also receive a casual loading fee of 25%.

As part of St Vincent's Perioperative Services, the Sterile Processing Centre provides a critical service supporting the operation of St Vincent's operating theatres and Endoscopy Suite.
