Saw Operator / Trades Assistant – Fulltime PermanentArea Safe Products division, Astra Street Furniture, assembles outdoor furniture products such as seats, benches, bins, bollards etc.
You will work alongside other assemblers performing cutting duties.5 days per week (7.30am start, 38hr week, overtime available when required – workload driven)Based from warehouse in Minchinbury, Western SydneyUsing drop saws to cut timber, recycled composite, and aluminium (slats & planks) to required lengths.Preparing materials for assembly team.Other related duties that may be required include:Predrilling of timber & aluminium slatsAssembly of timber & aluminium benches, tables & seats, screwing on slats etcPackaging, packing, palletising & wrapping of assembled furniture & carpark fixturesOther general assembly, manufacturing or warehouse duties as requiredAbout you!
Prior experience in furniture assembly or similar items is an advantageMust have experience with power tools especially drop sawsForklift license is an advantageGreat attention to detail,
