- Based in Brisbane - Flights , Accommodation & LAHA Provided - Deliver high-quality piping, welding, and mechanical works - Be part of UGL's high performing turnaround team for SeptemberAbout the role We are seeking experienced and safety-driven Hot Work Supervisors to join the AMPOL Lytton Refinery Shutdown This is a hands‐on leadership role responsible for overseeing hot work activities (welding, cutting, grinding) in a live refinery workplace, ensuring all work is executed safely, in compliance with strict permit‐to‐work (PTW) systems and hazard controls.Shutdown duration: September ****Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate hot work in hazardous refinery environmentsManage and enforce Permit to Work (PTW) systems, including:Hot Work PermitsConfined Space EntryIsolation and LOTO processesVerify field conditions including:Gas testing (LEL, O2, H2S, CO)Atmospheric safety and ignition riskEnsure compliance with:JSA/JHA and SWMS requirementsRefinery procedures and safety standardsLead daily toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety interventionsProvide visible leadership and confidently stop work if unsafe conditions ariseCoordinate across operations, maintenance, and contractor teams during SIMOPSAbout YouStrong knowledge of:Major Hazard Facility (MHF)
