This role ensures that all documents are properly created, reviewed, approved, distributed, and archived to support operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and quality management system (QMS) effectiveness.The position reports to the Quality Manager and is part of the Quality based in Penrose, CO.
This role is onsite Penrose CO.Document Control & ISO Compliance Develop, implement, and maintain document control procedures aligned with ISO ****:**** Clause 7.5 (Documented Information).
Ensure all documents are reviewed, approved, and updated as required prior to issue.
Control the distribution, access, retrieval, and use of documented information.
Prevent unintended use of obsolete documents and ensure proper identification if retained.
Maintain document registers, master lists, and revision histories.Support Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
Ensure documentation supports process effectiveness and consistency across departments.
Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate and traceable documentation.
Identify gaps and recommend improvements in document control processes.Document Lifecycle Management Manage the full lifecycle of documents including creation, revision, approval, distribution, and archiving.
Ensure proper version control and traceability of all engineering, quality, and project documents.
Standardize templates, formats,



and numbering systems.Coordination & Communication Liaise with engineering, quality, operations, procurement, and project teams to ensure timely document submission and approval.
Provide training and guidance to staff on document control procedures and systems.
Coordinate with external stakeholders (clients, vendors, auditors) regarding document requirements.Systems & Tools Administer and maintain document management systems (DMS/EDMS).
Ensure data integrity, security, and backup of documented information.
Generate reports and metrics related to document control performance.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Document accuracy and revision control compliance rateTimeliness of document processing and approvalsAudit findings related to document controlUser compliance with document control proceduresReduction in obsolete or uncontrolled document usageIf your experience aligns with our basic qualifications and you are inspired by our mission, we'd like to connect.Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Information Management, or related fieldExperience 3–7 years of experience in document control within engineering, manufacturing, or construction environmentsExperience working within an ISO ****-certified organizationKnowledge & Skills Strong understanding of ISO ****:**** requirements, particularly documented information controlKnowledge & Skills Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Aconex, EDMS platforms)Knowledge & Skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skillsKnowledge & Skills Strong communication and coordination abilitiesKnowledge & Skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesCompetencies Analytical thinking and problem-solvingCompetencies Process-oriented mindsetCompetencies High level of integrity and data accuracyCompetencies Continuous improvement focusCompetencies Strong collaboration and interpersonal skillsAuthority Authority to enforce document control procedures across the organizationAuthority Authority to reject non-compliant documentationAuthority Authority to recommend process improvements related to document controlWorking Conditions: Office-based with interaction across multiple departments.
May require participation in audits, inspections, and project meetings.The good faith base salary range for this role is $75,000–$110,000 at the time of this posting.
