This position will be employed on a casual basis.

You'll join a compassionate, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care while making a meaningful difference to patients and their families every day.Based at our Gold Coast Campus, this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport.
This facility was established in **** and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology.Salary range: $***** - $***** per hour plus casual loading plus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doingDeliver evidence-based, patient-centred nursing care across medical and palliative servicesAssess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plansSupport patients and their families with compassion, dignity and respect throughout their care journeyCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate safe,



effective careRecognise and respond appropriately to changes in patient conditionMaintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to discharge planningMentor and support nursing colleagues and students where appropriateParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional developmentAbout youCurrent registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with no restrictionsDemonstrated clinical experience within an acute medical, oncology and/or palliative care setting (highly regarded)A genuine passion for providing person-centred, compassionate careExcellent clinical assessment, communication and critical thinking skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamCommitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality careWillingness to participate in ongoing learning, education and professional developmentPostgraduate qualifications relevant to medical or palliative nursing will be highly regarded but are not essentialMater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
