While academic achievement is a priority, education of the whole child is a key element of the Loreto ethos.About the RoleThe successful coaches will be responsible for leading their team throughout Term ****** and Term ******, delivering engaging and purposeful training sessions, and supporting students during competition.
Working closely with staff, students, and families, you will foster both individual growth and team success while promoting a positive sporting culture aligned with Loreto Kirribilli's values and commitment to student wellbeing.Once your application has been received,



specifications about teams including training days and times will be provided.
Training may occur at least one morning or afternoon per week with your allocated team.
All sport games take place on Saturday mornings during both terms.
Rowing regattas take place periodically during a few weekends of the term, and training takes place on those Saturday mornings when there are no regattas.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and age-appropriate training sessionsPrepare and coach a given team for trials, training, and competitionDevelop students' technical skills, game understanding, teamwork, and confidenceProvide constructive feedback and positive encouragement to support student growthPromote sportsmanship, commitment, resilience, and respectful behaviourFoster a safe, supportive, and positive team environmentCollaborate with school staff regarding team organisation, communication, and match-day requirementsAttend scheduled training sessions, games, and school sporting commitments throughout Term 4 and Term 1.Model professionalism, reliability, and behaviours aligned with Loreto Kirribilli's valuesAbout YouYou will demonstrate:Experience coaching football or volleyball (school or youth level preferred)Relevant coaching qualifications/accreditation (desirable)Robust communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to inspire, motivate, and build positive relationships with young peopleReliable, organised, and professional approachPassion for supporting student wellbeing and participation in sportYou will need to have the following qualifications:Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)Previous experience in a similar roleCurrent Senior First Aid and CPR (preferred)Why Join Us?
