Private Retreat seeking Client Support SpecialistThe Bardo Health and Wellness – Pimpama QLDThis is a varied, hands‐on role combining client support, hospitality, transport, administration and the day‐to‐day presentation of a retreat.
You will work closely with clients and a multidisciplinary team to help ensure each client's daily needs are met and that their stay runs smoothly.
The right person will be warm, calm and compassionate, but also proactive, organized, and willing to notice what needs doing and get it done.Key responsibilitiesSupporting clients with daily routines, including breakfast, general day‐to‐day needs, self‐administration of medication in accordance with organisational proceduresAssist the chef in setting table for meals and clean up afterwardsPreparing nutritional supplements as directed by the appropriate practitionerHelping clients remain organised and punctual for therapies, appointments, programs and activitiesBuilding professional rapport with clients while maintaining appropriate boundariesCreating a calm, positive and welcoming atmosphere throughout communal areasMaintaining the cleanliness, organisation and presentation of shared areas, including the kitchen, verandas, pool area and outdoor spacesManaging daily client laundry and assisting with practical household tasksPreparing therapy rooms so they are clean, safe and ready for scheduled sessionsTransporting and accompanying clients to appointments, shopping, recreational outings and other approved activitiesProvide clients with 'bonus sessions' such as meditation, education,



client specific support.About youPrevious experience in a support worker, client support, hospitality, or similar roleExperience working with people with diverse support needsA minimum Certificate III or IV in a relevant fieldCurrent First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain theseA current driver's licence and confidence transporting clients when requiredRelevant worker screening, such as a National Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain the required checksStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA compassionate, respectful and non-judgmental approachGood professional boundaries and a strong commitment to privacy and confidentialityThe ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a multidisciplinary teamAbout usThe Bardo Health and Wellness is a small, private health and wellness retreat located in the hinterland at the north end of the Gold Coast.
