We are seeking an experiencedBus Body Repairer / Panel Beaterfor our After Sales Centre located in IngleburnNSW.
Previous experience in heavy vehicle smash repairs, manufacturing, servicing and accident repair is required.
The ideal applicant will have the opportunity to work out of state-of-the-art modern facilities for a nationwide company with multinational ties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bolting, screwing, riveting and welding sections together to form complete frameworksCutting and shaping panels of sheet metal, aluminium and reinforced plastic and attaching to frameworks using hand and power toolsModifying assembly line vehicles to special requirementsPreparing new vehicle trim work according to drawings and sketches, and removing old coverings and fittings from vehicles and taking new measurementsSelecting and cutting pieces of fabric, vinyl and leather and sewing pieces together using heavy-duty sewing machinesInstalling internal trim in vehicles such as lining, floor coverings and armrestsAttaching door trims, rubber seals, locks and handlesStudying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirementsAligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instrumentsJoining metal sections using various welding techniques,



bolting and rivetingUse tools to make or repair parts and productsFraming and fitting hardware based on different on specificationsKeep a clean and tidy workspaceIdentify and defective items and handle according to established proceduresFollow all relevant safety guidelines and proceduresRead and interpret drawings and written instructions
COMPETENCIES:
Previous exposure and experience in a vehicle manufacturing/service environment will be highly regarded.
This position also requires the applicant to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol analysis, musculoskeletal evaluation and hearing test
