SCOTS PGC College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our Learning Support team on a contract basis until the end of ****.
This rewarding role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting their learning, wellbeing and engagement in the classroom.
Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff, you will help create an inclusive and positive learning environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their potential.
This position plays an important role in the College's commitment to delivering high-quality, student-centred education and providing individualised support to meet diverse learning needs.Contract position until the end of ****Part-time, term-time roleMonday to FridaySCOTS PGC College, Warwick QLDWhat you'll be doingProviding direct support to students in the classroom, including assisting with learning activities and reinforcing teaching objectivesSupporting students with special needs or additional learning requirements through individualised strategies and accommodationsHelping with classroom management and maintaining a positive, safe and organised learning environmentAssisting with preparation of educational materials, resources and learning aidsSupporting students with personal care needs as required and in accordance with college policiesEncouraging student participation and engagement in classroom and extracurricular activitiesCommunicating regularly with teachers and parents regarding student progress and any concernsContributing to the implementation of individual education plans and support strategiesSupporting the supervision of students during transitions,



breaks and other non-classroom timesMaintaining accurate records and documentation of student progress and behaviour as requested.What we're looking forA genuine passion for supporting young people and contributing to their educational developmentExperience working with children in an educational or care setting (preferred but not essential)Understanding of diverse learning needs and the ability to adapt support strategies accordinglyStrong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff and familiesPatience, empathy and a positive attitude towards supporting students with additional needsBasic literacy and numeracy skills to support student learningAbility to work collaboratively as part of a team and take direction from teaching staffA commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional boundariesWorking with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one) and a current Police CheckFlexibility and reliability with attendance and punctuality.What we offerSCOTS PGC College is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace where staff feel valued and engaged.
