We are currently seeking a Senior Secondary Systems Engineer to join our Power Utilities team in Brisbane.
This role offers the opportunity to become a key contributor within a highly experienced engineering team, delivering advanced automation and secondary systems solutions.About the RoleYou will join a multi-disciplinary engineering team delivering automation and secondary systems across the full project lifecycle—from concept, design, and integration through to testing and commissioning.
This is a hands-on engineering role where your understanding of utility environments (e.g. substations, control centres, field comms) will be directly applied to real project outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed designs and specifications for automation and secondary systemsInterface with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders on design and technical decisionsSupport delivery across all phases: design, integration, testing, and commissioningTechnical ScopeYou will work across a broad and familiar utility technology stack:Substation automation & control systemsRTU, PLC, HMI, and IED/relay integrationSCADA systems and protocols (DNP3, IEC ***************, Modbus, Conitel)IEC ***** design, engineering, and integrationControl schemes (e.g. load shedding, AVR, interlocking, plant automation)Control centre and field communications integrationIndustrial networking (station LAN/WAN design, switching, routing)Cybersecurity considerations aligned to utility environmentsSCADA and control system testing and commissioningAbout YouYou are likely coming from a utility, OEM,
