Are you an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in delivering safe, high-quality construction projects?
This is an excellent 6-month opportunity to lead and coordinate complex projects from planning through to completion, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standards.About the roleOversee construction projects from planning and mobilisation through to delivery and completionCoordinate contractors, consultants, internal teams and key stakeholders to support effective project outcomesManage project schedules, budgets, resources, risks and reporting requirementsEnsure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant quality, compliance and regulatory standardsMonitor progress, resolve construction-related issues and drive practical solutions to keep projects on trackMaintain explicit communication with clients, contractors and project teams throughout the project lifecyclePromote a strong safety, quality and continuous improvement culture across all project activitiesBased in Cannon Hill, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of construction delivery, work with a broad range of stakeholders and contribute to safe, efficient and high-quality project outcomes.
You will play a key role in coordinating teams, managing risk and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard.About youRelevant degree or diploma in construction management, civil engineering,
architecture or a related disciplineCurrent Queensland Construction White Card and valid Queensland driver's licenceDemonstrated experience managing construction projects, including planning, execution and deliveryStrong understanding of Queensland building codes, standards, regulations and WHS requirements.Proven ability to manage contracts, budgets, schedules, resources and competing project prioritiesExcellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skillsExperience using project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore or Aconex will be highly regardedExperience leading teams, mentoring staff and managing client relationships in a construction environmentKnowledge of sustainable construction practices, environmental compliance, BIM or digital construction technologies will be advantageousApplicants new to DFP may be asked to provide additional information including work rights status via a survey link – if requested, we ask that you provide this information in order to expedite your application.DFP welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people with disability.
