This is a full-time position based in Brisbane QLD ****, offering the opportunity to work with a reputable transport company that values qualified drivers.
As a Long Distance Driver, you will be responsible for operating articulated vehicles across Queensland and interstate routes, delivering freight safely and on time whilst maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.What you'll be doingOperating articulated vehicles (MC class) on long-distance routes across Queensland and interstate destinationsEnsuring all freight is transported safely, securely and on schedule in accordance with customer requirementsConducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any mechanical issues or defectsMaintaining accurate logbooks and documentation in compliance with road transport regulations and fatigue management lawsAdhering to all traffic laws, speed limits and safety regulations whilst drivingCommunicating effectively with dispatch,



customers and management regarding delivery progress and any issues that ariseMaintaining vehicle cleanliness and performing routine maintenance checksContributing to a safety-focused workplace culture and participating in toolbox talks and safety initiativesWhat we're looking forCurrent MC class driving licence valid in Australia with a clean driving recordMinimum 2 years' experience driving articulated vehicles on long-distance routesComprehensive knowledge of fatigue management regulations and hours of service requirementsProficiency in maintaining accurate logbooks and compliance documentationStrong mechanical knowledge and ability to conduct vehicle pre-trip inspectionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise professionally with customers and internal teamsA commitment to safety and demonstrated responsibility regarding vehicle maintenance and road safety practicesPhysical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks including loading and unloading freightExperience with GPS and modern telematics systems is desirableCurrent National Police Certificate or willingness to obtain oneWhat we offerCompetitive wages and allowancesA supportive and professional working environmentOngoing training and development opportunitiesAccess to a protected, well-maintained fleet of vehiclesCommitment to workplace health and safety standardsRichers Transport is an equal opportunity company, and thereforeencourages both male and female applicants.
