Financial Accountant, 6 months contract initiallyA financial accountant role covering month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, BAS and FBT compliance, and weekly and monthly management reporting.
This is a clean, well run function rather than a cleanup job, and suits someone who wants to use up-to-date finance systems and AI tools as part of everyday work.About Our ClientOur client is a well established business operating in the healthcare sector.
The finance team reports closely to the CFO and CEO and has genuinely embedded AI tools into daily reporting and analysis, so this is a function that is actively modernising their processes.Perform accurate and timely month end close processesPrepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare and lodge monthly BAS statementsManage the annual FBT return processProduce weekly and monthly management reportsSupport preparation of the monthly board reportProvide insight on revenue and cost trends across the businessContribute to annual budgets and quarterly forecastsManage company credit cards through the expense management systemUse AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, or ChatGPT to automate reconciliations, first draft reporting, and stakeholder correspondence, reviewing all output before it is usedA financial accountant role covering month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, BAS and FBT compliance, and weekly and monthly management reporting.

Six months initially with a genuine path to permanency.
Direct visibility into board reporting and real scope to shape how the finance team uses AI and automation day to day.
