Offering relaxed coastal living, well-maintained communal spaces and a range of resident facilities, the village provides a peaceful and connected environment where residents can enjoy the best of island living.We are currently seeking a Casual Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our team.ABOUT THE ROLEThis is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining the presentation, safety and functionality of the village grounds, communal areas and facilities.Working closely with the Village Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day upkeep of the village to ensure residents enjoy a clean, safe and well-presented community environment.The role involves physically demanding work, including regular manual handling and lifting, along with the safe and competent use of power tools and maintenance equipment.Your responsibilities will include:General grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, hedging and landscapingMaintaining gardens,



lawns and communal outdoor areasOperating grounds and maintenance equipment safely and effectivelyUpkeep of village facilities and common areasAssisting with minor repairs and general maintenance tasksIdentifying and reporting maintenance or safety issues to the Village ManagerMaintaining a clean, protected and well-presented village environmentSupporting the wider village team with general property upkeep as requiredABOUT YOUWe are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys maintaining outdoor spaces to a high standard.The successful applicant will possess:Previous experience in grounds, gardening or property maintenance preferredCurrent Australian Driver's LicenceAbility to perform manual tasks including lifting, carrying and repetitive physical activitiesConfidence safely operating power tools and maintenance equipmentStrong attention to detail and pride in maintaining presentation standardsA reliable, proactive and safety-focused approachAbility to work independently and as part of a teamA friendly and respectful manner when working within a residential communityYou will be competent in the use of equipment such as:Ride-on mowersHedge trimmersWhipper snippersChainsawsHigh-powered hand toolsREMUNERATIONThe rate of pay for this role will be in accordance with the Hospitality General Award.RECRUITMENT AGENCIESPlease note that we do not accept unsolicited resumes from Recruitment Agencies.
