The department plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across the organisation.The RoleAn exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Speech Pathologist to join the Cabrini Speech Pathology team in a permanent full-time position based at Cabrini Malvern.
Working within our acute care team, you will provide high-quality assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population.
This role requires a flexible clinician with broad acute care experience and a strong commitment to delivering evidence-based practice across the continuum of care.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred care.
You will contribute to maintaining excellence in clinical practice, service quality, patient outcomes and staff engagement, while supporting Cabrini's commitment to exceptional patient care.Key responsibilities:Assessment and management of adults with communication and swallowing disorders for a range of aetiologies in acute hospital settingDemonstrates current clinical knowledge of research,
new developments and evidence-based practice in specific discipline.Compliance with our Triage policy in response time to referrals.Attend and contribute to staff meetings, including the identification of achievements, relevant issues and unmet needs.Participates in professional development programs.Involved in student education and training, staff supervisionAbout youMembership/Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology AustraliaWell consolidated post-graduate experience in the acute healthcare setting (min 2 years)Experience in the assessment and management of adults with communication and swallowing disorders for a range of aetiologiesDemonstrated ability to consult and collaborate with others and work as an effective member of a teamExcellent time management skills and high degree of flexibilityWell-developed interpersonal skills, which include excellent communication skillsCommitment to continuing professional development and clinical researchDemonstrated ability to enhance the patient and family experience at CabriniWhat we offer:Salary packaging: up to $15,900 tax-free each year, plus $**** meal & entertainment card benefitsConvenience: Vibrant Malvern location, close to local shops, cafes and public transportTravel Perks: Myki Commuter discounted faresA commitment to health and well-being initiatives including discounted access to a wide range of gyms, pools,
