Career development and mentoring: earning your Certificate III in Engineering: Mechanical TradeWhat's involved:We are currently seeking an enthusiastic candidate who is interested in completing training and education as an apprentice with a view to becoming a trade-qualified Fitter Machinist.You will be learning alongside tradesmen and engineers to solve real problems in real time!




Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:Workshop based mechanical repairs, gearboxes, pumps, brakesDismantling, cleaning, assessing and measuring partsMachining – Lathe, Mill, SlotterCleaning of the workshopAssisting with maintaining workshop equipmentSand blasting and spray paintingAbout you:To be considered for this position you will ideally have:A positive attitude to learn in the workplace,High level of mechanical aptitude,Ability to follow instructions and procedures, both written and verbal,Ability to operate equipment and systems,You must hold a current Drivers Licence.What's next:The recruitment process includes aptitude testing and the successful candidate is required to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing.Due to the number of applications received only successful candidates are contacted.MRAEL & SWB are an equal opportunity employer.
