Home | Housing AustraliaAbout the roleAs a key member of Housing Australia's Housing Capital & Solutions Partnerships team, reporting to the Director – Capital Solutions, Transactions Management, based in Sydney, you will assist in the management and execution of funding transactions and will work on various financial models.Key responsibilitiesDevelop, maintain and analyse complex project finance/feasibility models tailored to property/residential development that incorporates the social and affordable housingConduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess debt serviceability and risk exposureEnsure financial model compliance with best practices including accuracy,



and auditabilityPrepare concise executive summaries and visual aids of financial model outcomes for stakeholder presentationsConduct credit due diligence on project finance and/or real estate lending transactions, including providing support to the structuring and negotiation to mitigate riskDraft high-quality credit and board papers, clearly presenting transaction structures, risks, mitigants and recommendations, where requiredWork collaboratively with key internal and external business partners and stakeholders, including originators, legal counsel, credit team and community housing providersSkills and experienceBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Property Economics or related field5+ years' specific experience in project finance modelling ideally focussed on infrastructure, housing or related sectorsBanking or financing experience in underwriting loan transactions in the real estate and/or project finance sectorAdvanced proficiency in excel, including VBA and familiarity with financial modelling standardsExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detailSound appreciation of credit risk, including a strong understanding of cashflow lending and corporate financeStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas for diverse audiencesExcellent organisational skills with the ability to work at a fast pace, be proactive and anticipate issuesExperience in community housing financing and/or knowledge of the regulatory environment for community housing would be an advantage but is not essentialHow to applyWe would love to hear from you.
