We're looking for a proactive Electrical Project Engineer to join our Service team based in Hexham, NSW.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise with project delivery, working across high-voltage maintenance, testing, commissioning and upgrade projects for customers in the mining and infrastructure sectors.
What you'll do
As the Electrical Project Engineer, you'll oversee and support the delivery of high-voltage field service projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.
You'll work closely with customers, subcontractors and internal teams to provide technical leadership while driving successful project outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and coordinating high-voltage field service projects from planning through to completionSupporting maintenance, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting activities on HV equipmentMonitoring project schedules, resources, budgets and risk mitigation activitiesProviding technical guidance and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirementsConducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions to minimise equipment downtimeBuilding robust customer relationships and acting as a key technical point of contact during project deliveryCollaborating with engineering, procurement, logistics and field service teams to deliver project outcomesPreparing project reports,
technical documentation and recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for
Ideally, you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or a related disciplineExperience in electrical engineering, transformer maintenance, high-voltage systems or field service operationsStrong project management, planning and risk management capabilitiesHands-on experience testing, troubleshooting and maintaining HV equipmentKnowledge of relevant industry standards, safety regulations and quality assurance practicesStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsCurrent Driver's LicenceProject management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 (desirable)
