Colmar Engineering is an established Australian family business specializing in the manufacturing of hydraulic components and spare parts for both local and international clients.
We are seeking a CNC milling machinist with at least 5 years' experience to work in a dynamic, jobbing environment, working effectively with a team and independently.Key responsibilitiesSet up, program and optimize CNC milling machinesThoroughly read and follow engineering drawings and production documentationPlan processes in compliance with drawings, relevant Australian standards, and other production or testing requirementsEnsure safe and proper setup and use of equipment, adhering to all safety protocolsConduct first-piece inspections and subsequent inspections as per Colmar SOP and customer/Australian standard requirementsProduce high-quality parts according to specified drawings and production documentationInspect parts for accuracy and qualitySafely pack, identify, and move finished parts to the next process/locationMonitor consumables stock for the machine and initiate purchases as neededMaintain machine, tools, and equipment in good working condition,
requesting maintenance when necessaryAbout youAt least 5 years' experience as a CNC milling machinistKnowledge of engineering processes and materialsPractical experience to produce high quality precision parts efficientlyKnowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controllers would be an advantagePrevious experience in crane operation is advantageousObserve WHS procedures at all times including reporting hazards and potential risks to managementObserve Colmar's Quality Management policies and procedures including relevant SOP's and WOP'sAbility to develop good working relationships with all members of the Colmar TeamReady to respond to change and develop working knowledge of the production environmentStability and security of working with a well-established family businessUniforms supplied for a qualified work environmentOvertime opportunities available for those seeking additional incomeTraining in CAD/CAMAbout usColmar Engineering is an established Australian family business specializing in the manufacturing of hydraulic components and spare parts for both local and international clients.
