This role integrates data governance, data management, analytics and insights delivery under one cohesive operating model, and builds the high-performing, multidisciplinary team to deliver it.For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack.About YouWhat you'll doLead and integrate the data, analytics and governance function, ensuring cohesive delivery across data management, analytics and insights, and aspects of data engineering with relevant SMEsEstablish enterprise data governance frameworks — policy, standards, metadata management, data quality, privacy and security — so data is managed as a fit-for-purpose strategic assetDevelop and embed a data and analytics strategy and operating model aligned to business priorities, enabling scalable, reusable and future‐fit data capabilitiesLead and grow a data analytics and insights capability (BI and advanced analytics Centre of Excellence) that delivers high‐value insights and supports evidence‐based decisionsPartner with business stakeholders to translate business problems into data‐driven solutions, including dashboards, models,



and advanced analytics use casesEnsure the availability, quality, integration and accessibility of data, including the data models, pipelines, and platforms that support enterprise reporting and analyticsChampion a data‐driven culture — building data literacy, establishing communities of practice, and enabling self‐service analytics across the organisationCollaborate with TfNSW, government agencies, and external partners to align data practices, share data securely, and maximise the value of the organisation's data assetsWhat you'll bringProven experience leading an integrated data, analytics and governance function at enterprise scaleStrong track record building and leading high‐performing, multidisciplinary teamsDeep understanding of data governance frameworks — policy, standards, metadata, quality, privacy and securityExperience standing up or scaling a BI/advanced analytics capability that shifted an organisation toward evidence‐based decision‐makingThe ability to balance governance rigour with the flexibility teams need for timely, self‐service analyticsStrong stakeholder partnering skills, with credibility across government agencies and external partnersGenuine passion for building data literacy and a data‐driven cultureWho We AreTransport for NSW provides a protected, integrated, and efficient transport system.
