Build a career.Yatala / Brisbane / Gold Coast – Field Service across SE QLDFERHM Heavy Maintenance is seeking an experienced Accessory Fitter / Mechanical Installer to join our growing team.This is a hands-on role working predominantly on earthmoving equipment, heavy vehicles and mobile plant, installing and servicing Lubecore Automatic Grease Systems, hydraulic accessories and other specialist equipment.We're looking for someone who takes pride in clean, professional installations, can think mechanically and wants the prospect to develop into a highly skilled specialist within a growing heavy-equipment business.About the roleYou'll be employed by FERHM Heavy Maintenance and work alongside our mechanical, fabrication and field-service team.Your day-to-day work will include:Installing Lubecore Automatic Grease and Lubrication Systems on earthmoving equipment, trucks and mobile plantInstalling pumps, injectors, metering devices, grease lines, brackets, protection and associated componentsMeasuring, cutting, routing and adapting materials to achieve neat, professional installationsManufacturing CAT hydraulic hose assemblies to OEM specificationsCarrying out servicing, fault finding and repairs on existing automatic lubrication systemsReading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, installation manuals and specificationsUsing hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment safely and correctlyInspecting completed installations to ensure they meet FERHM, Lubecore and manufacturer standardsTroubleshooting installation and system issues and developing practical solutionsPreparing machines and vehicles correctly before installationMaintaining a clean and organised work area and field-service vehicle Recording work completed, materials used and relevant job informationCommunicating professionally with customers,



supervisors and other tradesTaking ownership of your jobs from start to finishThe position will involve a combination of workshop and field-based work throughout South East Queensland.What we're looking forIdeally, you'll have experience as an:Accessory FitterAutomatic Grease System InstallerMechanical FitterAutomotive or Heavy Vehicle Accessory InstallerMechanical TechnicianField Service TechnicianPrevious experience installing Automatic Grease Systems on trucks or earthmoving equipment is highly regarded, particularly systems from Lubecore, Lincoln, Groeneveld, SKF, Graco or similar manufacturers.We're also looking for:Strong mechanical aptitudeA minimum of approximately 1–2 years' relevant fitting or installation experiencePride in producing clean, tidy and professional workConfidence working around heavy vehicles and earthmoving machineryAbility to fabricate simple brackets and adapt installations where requiredGood fault-finding and problem-solving skillsAbility to read technical drawings and installation instructionsCompetence with hand and power toolsStrong attention to detailUnderstanding of workshop and field-service safety requirementsReliability, punctuality and a professional attitudeAbility to work independently without being micromanagedGood communication skills and the ability to work as part of a teamPhysical fitness suitable for hands-on mechanical workA current C Class driver's licenceFull legal right to work in AustraliaRelevant trade qualifications are an advantage, but practical experience, mechanical ability and quality of workmanship are equally important to us.The opportunityThis isn't intended to be a dead-end fitting position.FERHM is a young and growing heavy-maintenance business,
