As a consultancy, we pride ourselves on our commitment to technical excellence, client satisfaction, and fostering a cooperative work environment.About the role:We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Associate Civil Engineerto assist in the growth and development of our Civil Engineering division in Sydney.
This key engineering role will be responsible for planning, managing and successfully delivering engineering projects of a complex nature.Responsibilities:Some of your key accountabilities in this role will include the following:Carrying out and managing detailed designs for all types of projects and all aspects of projects ensuring that designs are innovative, prepared to a high standard and in accordance with the needs and expectations of our clients.Managing and resolving project issues, and consider construction costings and practices in the design processLead, mentor and develop a team of engineers and designers within the civil discipline.
You will also provide technical guidance, feedback and support to the team members, and conduct performance reviews, training needs analysis and career development plans for them.Gain an understanding of the business and strategic direction of ADG, and develop, grow and maintain strong customer relationships.
You will also identify, communicate and pursue new opportunities for the Civil Engineering division in Perth,
and build your business development skills.We are looking for someone with...Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringChartered member (CPEng) of Institute of Engineers Australia10+ years of demonstrated design experienceAbility to think and solve problems and to critically assess and review designs by othersExperience in production of detailed engineering drawings commensurate with level of dutiesA knowledge of construction methods and their impact on designAn understanding of design and commercial risk with good contract management experienceExperience in liaising with project managers and architects effectivelyStrong communication skills and the ability to maintain relationships at different levels within client organisationsBusiness development skillsWhat's in it for you:ADG values your professional development and offers exposure to all facets of design and project delivery to expand your skillset.
