One Stop Joinery Pty Ltd – Bells Creek QLDOne Stop Joinery is seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to coordinate purchasing and materials for our commercial joinery business based on the Sunshine Coast.This position is required to maintain inventory levels of raw materials and supplies, supporting seamless production operations.
You will identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors, generate and process purchase orders, monitor and manage inventory levels, and negotiate favorable pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and cost savings.Key responsibilitiesPurchasing and expediting materials, raising and processing purchase requisitions and purchase ordersWorking closely with Operations and the Estimation team to identify material needs and supporting internal and external stakeholders with purchasing queriesNegotiating with suppliers to optimize price, delivery, and terms,
while fostering solid supplier and contractor relationshipsAssisting with stock control and inventory management across operationsMonitoring and following up on outstanding orders, while maintaining supplier databaseAssessing and preparing material take-offs for all projects to ensure materials are in ahead of production manufacturingChecking and approving all creditor invoices against purchase orders and term supplier quotesMaintaining company stock transfer spreadsheet for monthly reporting and quarterly stock takeCommunicating with Project and Production staff to ensure they are aware of supplier timeframes and delaysAbout you2 years' experience in a similar role or industryExperience in negotiating with multiple vendors to meet specified budgetIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Excellent verbal and written communicationOrganized and able to meet deadlinesAbility to build strong relationships with vendorsStrong analytical skillsProficiency with scheduling software (preferably Trello)
