Our NSW operation is seeking an experienced, independent leader to take on the role of Branch Manager — Sydney.
Running a mixed-fleet site servicing both our bulk food grade and dangerous goods customers, you will be responsible for building and leading a high performing team that aligns with our existing culture, systems and processes.
The position of Branch Manager is responsible for all aspects of safety, performance, resourcing and optimising efficiency, with a strong customer focus.
Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will serve as the primary operational and client-facing leader for the branch, balancing compliance obligations across food grade and dangerous goods operations with stakeholder engagement, financial stewardship and high-performance team development.Key responsibilitiesMonitor all site operations, ensuring strict compliance with relevant legislation, standards, licences and permit conditions across both food grade and dangerous goods workRecruit, onboard, mentor and develop personnel with a key safety focusOversee the site budget, including expenditure forecasting, cost controls, variance reporting and approval workflowsServe as the primary point of contact for our customers in the region, delivering professional written reports, updates and briefsManage fleet utilisation, driver rostering and subcontractor performance to meet customer service levelsDrive continuous improvement across procedures, productivity and service qualityProvide regular executive-level reporting on KPIs and performanceSupport the Company's efforts to promote a professional image by ensuring that the company's buildings,
equipment and people are professionally presented at all timesResponsible for performance management of direct reports through annual performance appraisals, skills/performance gap identification, career development and training plan proposalsLead by example in putting Safety First, demonstrating expected safety behaviours and company standardsAbout youAn unwavering commitment to safety and complianceDemonstrated leadership experience in a transport, logistics or heavy vehicle operations environmentWorking knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, NHVR fatigue management and dangerous goods requirementsWillingness to obtain a security clearance and police checks as required for dangerous goods workWillingness to undergo pre-employment medical assessment and regular drug/alcohol screeningStrong attention to detail and sound commercial/budget capabilityComfortable with customer engagement and report generationExperience across bulk liquid, food grade or dangerous goods freight will be highly regardedAbout usBooth Transport is a market leader in the provision of bulk haulage and has been since ****.
