The successful candidates will have strong surgical skills and experience and be available to work Monday to Friday day shifts.The Specialist Clinics Outpatients Service offers exceptional individualised care and is committed to enhancing the patient experience by providing education, information and support that is evidence based.Salary range: $***** - $***** per hour plus 25% casual loading plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doingIn this role, you will deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care for patients by:Provide high-quality, patient-focused nursing care aligned with professional standardsConduct comprehensive patient assessments and plan care in collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary teamImplement and evaluate evidence-based nursing interventions and initiate appropriate referrals, escalations as appropriateAct as a patient advocate, ensuring informed consent and supporting patients through education and decision-makingCollaborate with medical, nursing, allied health and community services to coordinate careContribute to quality improvement initiatives,



patient safety and infection control practicesAbout youYou are a dedicated Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care in line with Mater's Mission and Values.Current AHPRA registration (no restrictions) with 3+ years' experience working within an adult hospital environment.Strong clinical skills and a commitment to excellence in nursing practiceExperience in Ophthalmology or eye clinic would be highly regardedExcellent communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues, within professional and ethical boundariesStrong time management and the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamConfidence using electronic systems such as patient information systems, procedural booking tools, Outlook, and Microsoft ExcelMater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
