They are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their automation team.The RoleReporting to the Operations & Project Director, you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems supporting automated material handling and warehouse automation projects.Key responsibilities include:Developing electrical layouts and system architectures for automation and warehouse projectsDesigning and preparing motor control drawings, power distribution schematics and control panel drawingsSelecting and specifying electrical components including motors, circuit protection devices, PLC hardware, safety devices, sensors and field instrumentationEnsuring designs comply with applicable Australian standards, electrical regulations and customer specificationsPreparing technical documentation including BOMs,



cable schedules and test proceduresTroubleshooting electrical and control system issues during installation and operationCollaborating with the wider automation team and supporting maintenance and service teamsComplying with all site WH&S; and quality proceduresAbout YouTertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (essential)2-5 years' experience in an electrical engineering environmentPractical experience with PLC-based automation systemsExperience using electrical design software such as AutoCAD ElectricalExperience troubleshooting electrical and automation systems in industrial environmentsExperience working within multidisciplinary automation teams (controls and software engineers)Sound understanding of electrical standards and safety regulationsStrong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesThis is an prospect to join a collaborative engineering team working on complex automation projects, with genuine scope to contribute to design, commissioning and ongoing product development.
