The Purpose:
As a Senior Financial Accountant at AP+, you will be responsible for the day-to-day finance functions to ensure the accurate recording and timely reporting of financial information for AP+ in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards and Company policies.
This role also supports Treasury, Tax and compliance obligations, with a core focus on year-end and audit requirements
Expected day-to-day activities:
Audit & Financial Statements
Provide supporting documentation and analysis for the year-end external audit.Assist in the preparation and review of statutory financial statements.
Month End
Prepare, review and post month-end journals as required.Support timely and accurate month-end close processes.
Reconciliations
Prepare and review high-quality balance sheet reconciliations.Ensure adherence to accounting standards and AP+ policies.
Technical Accounting




Apply accounting standards to operational matters.Prepare technical accounting memos and provide advice on areas such as leasing and commercial agreements.
Tax
Support the management of AP+'s tax obligations as required.
Financial Compliance
Assist in ensuring AP+ meets its compliance obligations and compulsory government reporting requirements.
Experience & Background:
You are a technically strong and collaborative finance professional who thrives in a dynamic payments environment.
You bring:
An undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.CPA or CA qualification.Minimum 5 years' directly relevant finance experience within a payment's organisation.External audit experience.Experience in the preparation and review of financial statements.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and work collaboratively to deliver solutions.A proactive mindset during change, encouraging flexibility and helping others see opportunities.A team-oriented approach, working effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.A commitment to delivering high-quality outputs on time.A leadership style that fosters psychological safety, values diverse perspectives, and empowers others to take ownership and try new solutions.
