The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and improvement of our 1.2 Hectare Display Gardens.
These gardens offer a diverse range of Horticultural situations including Native, Perennial, Succulent, Woodland and Edible Gardens - alongside formal Lawns and Hedges.
Applicants for this role should reflect this.Key responsibilitiesMaintain and enhance the beauty of display gardens through pruning, planting, landscaping, weeding, mulching, and wateringEnsure all garden areas are kept tidy, healthy, and visually appealingWork in a small close-knit team led by the Head GardenerMonitor and develop plant health in the gardens to maintain high visual standardsInvolvement with projects to redevelop areas of the gardensEngage in physical gardening work throughout the siteEnsure compliance with company policies, especially OHS and work practicesSafe use and basic maintenance of tools, equipment,



and machineryAbout youExtensive experience in practical gardening work and/or landscapingHorticultural knowledge and its practical application in gardeningKnowledge and experience of applying fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides in various situationsAbility to work both in a team and independentlyPassion for horticulture, plant knowledge, and hands-on gardeningExperience of irrigation systems and an ability to identify watering requirements of plant groupsSelf-motivated, socially and community aware, and responsibleAble to work to high standards, with an emphasis on qualityStrong communication skills, written and oralMust be an Australian Resident or have a Visa with full working rightsAbout usThis role is based in office in North Ryde, with very occasional visits to other company sites.We work to high standards within a relaxed and friendly team.This position offers many opportunities for personal growth and expansion of skills at a unique Sydney Garden.Previous experience is required for this role.This is initially a contracted role until May **** with the potential to extend.
